Rookwood Floorcloths

 

                                Rookwood Floorcloths are a resurgence of the early eighteenth century custom of making canvas rugs

                                from sailcloth. Two or three coats of gesso or primer are applied to both sides of heavy duty canvas, the

                                canvas is hemmed and then a one of a kind design is hand-painted onto the front. The final step is to

                                seal the cloth with three or more coats of varnish. These durable canvas mats will last for years. 

 

                                Rookwood Floorcloths are not only practical but decorative as well. With the popularity of hardwood

                                and tile flooring today, floor cloths are perfect for protecting such surfaces and add a wonderful accent

                                to any room. Rookwood Floorcloths can be made in any length and width. They can also be made as

                                wall hangings, table runners and placemats. 

Rookwood Floorcloths can be customized to match your decor, color and size requirements with either a breed
specific image included or an image of your own dog(s) incorporated into each floorcloth. Each floorcloth is uniquely
